Why is FosiaHub free for entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurs are the supply side of the marketplace. More high-quality pitches = more value for investors and institutions. This is the same model as ProductHunt, AngelList, and YC. Charging founders would reduce supply and hurt the ecosystem.
Does FosiaHub process investment transactions?
No. FosiaHub is a matchmaking and services platform, not a financial intermediary. We connect entrepreneurs and investors — the actual investment happens off-platform. We charge for platform access (SaaS) and session facilitation, not investment processing.
When will the Investor paid plan start?
Investors are free during the entire beta period. When we transition to paid plans, we'll give all users at least 30 days notice by email. The planned price is $49/month for Premium. Beta users will be grandfathered with a discounted rate.
What does the 10% mentor fee cover?
FosiaHub provides booking infrastructure, payment processing (Stripe + PawaPay mobile money), scheduling, session reviews, and discovery. The 10% covers these operational costs. You keep 90% of every fee you charge.
What are FosiaHub Credits and how does pay-as-you-go work?
FosiaHub Credits are the pay-as-you-go currency for AI features, visibility boosts, and intros — no monthly subscription needed. New users start with 10 free credits (worth ~$3). Buy more top-up packs anytime via card or MTN/Airtel Mobile Money. Credits never expire.
Can an institution get a trial before committing?
Yes. We offer a 30-day pilot for qualified institutions at no cost. Contact us with your organization name, country, and program scope.
